StatisPro software aids in regulatory compliance

Software demonstrating the conformance of a researcher's clinical methods with regulatory requirements will be unveiled later this month by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute. The institute is a nonprofit organization for consensus standards development in healthcare and medical testing.

The StatisPro method-evaluation software helps researchers perform the statistical analysis necessary for recognized CLSI guidelines when they are evaluating a clinical method. It provides step-by-step guidance on conducting a study, according to an announcement, and incorporates eight method-evaluation guidelines.

The software was developed by CLSI in conjunction with the Analyse-it statistical analysis and charting software. Analyse-it Software is a maker of statistical analysis software that runs on Microsoft Excel.
