The Virtify Structured Product Labeling (SPL) Sharesourcing solution is an on-demand offering intended to help life sciences companies comply with the FDA's SPL mandate. The solution combines the Virtx SPL software with access to specialists to ensure accurate label conversion and regulatory compliance, the company says.
The SPL R4 document-markup standard for product information now includes medical device/drug kits, animal health, over the counter, and biologic manufacturing segments, in addition to pharmaceuticals. The standard eliminates paper-based forms by requiring that ingredient codes, packaging, and registration information be submitted electronically.
The SPL Sharesourcing solution is based on the Virtx SPL enterprise content compliance software, an Internet-based content-management solution that provides collaborative authoring, review, publishing, and archiving, the company says.
Separately, SharePoint is also at the core of an offering from ValGenesis. The solutions provider has announced SharePoint integration with ValGenesis 2.0, providing access, retrieval and storage of corporate validation data and documents generated within SharePoint. The integration centralizes business and compliance data and yields secure, paperless validation lifecycle management, says ValGenesis.
