E-clinical solution providers are vying for researchers' attention this week at Partnerships in Clinical Trials, the clinical outsourcing conference being held in Orlando. They are collectively hawking a raft of product upgrades and implementation stories.
It shows how competitive the e-clinical space is, for sure, but it also demonstrates the growing provision of services among solution providers--notably, PAREXEL/Perceptive and ClearTrial--to tame increasingly complex trials for small biotechs with big clinical needs but limited IT resources.
Note also the growing emphasis on costs and budgeting in solution provider announcements (PercipEnz, PAREXEL/Perceptive and ClearTrial), a nod toward the diminishing tolerance for all but the slightest of cost overruns.
