Galderma selects Medidata Rave, mentoring service

Swiss dermatology-product maker Galderma has standardized on the Medidata Rave electronic data capture and clinical data management platform. Medidata says it bested two other CTMS vendors in Galderma's six-month evaluation.

Support for hybrid paper/electronic data studies and multiple language capabilities were key requirements. Another factor was Rave's acceptance by the CRO community, the software maker says.

Galderma runs an R&D operation in France, complemented by development centers in Princeton, NJ, and Tokyo. The treatment maker is using the Rave Knowledge Transfer process, a mentoring and co-development service that Medidata provides to help users tailor the implementation to their needs and abilities and develop in-house the knowledge required to build studies. Training and e-learning tools were another attraction, according to an announcement.
