CRO partner choices show analytics trend

Two contract researchers are taking different collaborative approaches to separate from the CRO pack. One has chosen alignment with an adaptive trials specialist; the other, with a trial automation solutions provider.

Statistical consultancy BioStat Solutions has joined CRO Advanced Clinical's "strategic advisory ecosystem." Advanced cited BioStat's adaptive trials and personalized medicine acumen as equipping the CRO to bridge data and statistical analysis in its offerings. The deal will help both companies take advantage of BSSI's ambition to design and oversee such complex projects as adaptive and vaccine trials as well as studies run for genetic biomarker approval.

Separately, a maker of clinical trial management systems has come to the aid of specialty CRO Symbiance, which focuses on central nervous system and oncology drug development. BioClinica has become a strategic partner of the CRO, whose business includes biostat analysis capabilities in addition to a clinical data management unit and SAS programming divisions supporting Phase I through IV trials.
