Clients re-up with growing DATATRAK

DATATRAK is rockin' and rollin': the e-clinical technology and service provider has announced two contract awards and a hire, all in the early days of October. The contracts involve an enterprise agreement and a consulting services deal.

The enterprise agreement covers use of the company's eClinical platform in three oncology studies. Each of the studies, for an existing client, involves multiple sites. The e-clinical system is based on a unified platform, which DATATRAK contrasts with the integrated systems of its competitors.

On the service side, the company has signed a consulting contract for clinical data management and trial design services with an existing, unnamed biopharma client. The contract will lead to the hiring of clinical data managers to work for Bill Gluck, the newly named VP for clinical and consulting services. Gluck's assignment is to build the services arm of the company. He hails from the trial sponsor domain, serving in management at Amgen, BASF Life Sciences, Gilead Sciences and Triangle Pharmaceuticals. And that's in addition to his seven years of CRO experience.
