NIH adds genetic data from Kaiser, UCSF to online resource

Kaiser Permanente and the University of California, San Francisco, have added 55 billion bits of genetic data to a National Institutes of Health (NIH) online database. The information comes from the Genetic Epidemiology Research on Aging (GERA) project, a cohort of more than 100,000 adults with an average age of 63 years old. NIH will now make the data available to qualified researchers. Release
