Scotland-based BioOutsource to Expand, Open U.S. Lab Facility in Massachusetts in 2015

Governor Patrick, Massachusetts officials meet with additional prospect companies duringBIO International Convention

SAN DIEGO, CA, USA/GLASGOW, SCOTLAND – Wednesday, June 25, 2014 – Scotland-based BioOutsource joined with Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Senate President Therese Murray, the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and MassBio today to announce that the company will be expanding their U.S. presence, opening a new lab facility in Massachusetts in 2015.

The company, a global leader in biologics contract testing and BioSimilar characterization for the biopharmaceutical industry, opened their first U.S. office in 2013 in the life sciences hub of Cambridge, MA.  The company plans to open the new laboratory facility in early 2015 to service their North American & Latin American clients. The new Laboratory Facility will support and strengthen the company's BioSimilar and BioSafety service offerings.

Governor Patrick and other officials and industry leaders from Massachusetts will meet today with more than a dozen companies at the BIO International Convention in San Diego that are interested in learning more about locating or doing business in Massachusetts.  The meetings will take place in the Massachusetts Pavilion on the show floor as part of the state's "Global Connect" sessions.

BioOutsource announced that the last 12 months have been an exceptional growth year for the company. The Company has grown by more than 40%, with positive growth delivered across all business units.
