Suppliers Being Accepted to Showcase Advances in Healthcare at National Event

The Premier healthcare alliance is accepting applications from industry suppliers to participate in its annual .
Premier, a provider-owned performance improvement alliance of more than 2,600 hospitals and 86,000-plus other sites, hosts the Innovation Celebration each year to recognize advances in healthcare from suppliers committed to improving patient outcomes.
Premier contracts with more than 1,000 suppliers. However, any supplier, regardless of whether the company is contracted with Premier, is invited to participate in the event. Next year’s Innovation Celebration is being held on June 11, 2013 during Premier’s Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas. Nearly 4,500 healthcare providers and experts attended this year’s conference.
Suppliers can to showcase their innovative medical device, pharmaceutical or method of care.
All innovations are selected by a committee of clinicians and other Premier alliance members based on their ability to positively impact the healthcare industry. Basic criteria for selection include solutions that display uniqueness, as well as their ability to impact an unmet medical need.
This year’s program showcased that can help providers administer safer, more efficient healthcare. The products focused on quality advances that can help prevent harmful events, such as hospital-acquired infections and medication errors, as well as improve response to emergency situations while reducing costs by cutting out wasteful care.
