Shares of GPC Biotech surged on the news that its lead drug satraplatin was well tolerated in a Phase I trial for advanced solid tumors. The biotech company said on Friday that it had raised $42.8 million to market satraplatin for prostate cancer in the U.S. The therapy is in Phase III trials for prostate cancer as well as other clinical studies for additional oncology indications. Release
