Pennsylvania-based AmerisourceBergen is purchasing drug distributor Bellco Health for $235 million. AmerisourceBergen says it's making the purchase because Bellco has a foothold in the New York City market, the company possesses a sophisticated generic pharmaceuticals business, and Bellco's nationwide sales of dialysis products and services complements Anmerisource's specialty distribution businesses.
