TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Protein Technologies, a leader in the field of peptide synthesis instrumentation, today announced the appointment of Nate Cosper, Ph.D., as President and CEO, and member of the Board of Directors of Protein Technologies, Inc. effective immediately. Dr. Cosper will replace Mahendra Menakuru, who will be stepping down as President and CEO, but who will remain as a consultant during a transition period. Dr. Cosper brings a long track record of executive experience, successfully driving growth and delivering financial results in dynamic and innovative public and private scientific product organizations.

Dr. Cosper was previously at Caliper Life Sciences and PerkinElmer, where he held leadership positions in product development, strategy, business development and commercial operations. He most recently was the Vice President and General Manager for the Microfluidics and Automation business unit, as well as the head of Business Development and Strategic Marketing for the Life Sciences division of PerkinElmer. He received advanced degrees in chemistry and business from the University of Georgia.
