Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Announces the Termination of its Collaboration with Merck

CAMBRIDGE, Mass -- Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, a leading RNAi therapeutics company, announced today that Merck & Co., Inc. ("Merck") and Alnylam have mutually agreed to terminate their July 2006 amended and restated agreement. As a result, Alnylam has rescinded all grants of its intellectual property related to current and future Merck development programs, including the partnership's former co-development programs.
