In another sign of Novartis' aggressive plan to boost its presence in the vaccine business, the drug giant has purchased the rights to an experimental vaccine developed by Austria's Intercell. Novartis will make an equity investment of up to €30 million in Intercell and will pay up to €37 million in milestones.
