Neurobiological Technologies is selling Xerecept, its experimental therapy to prevent brain tumor swelling, to Celtic Pharma for $33 million and a schedule of milestone payments. Xerecept is involved in three Phase III trials. Celtic plans to use the funds to help advance its drug Viprinex.
