With its top drug product losing sales and the drug industry reeling from a cascade of criticism over public safety issues and charges of greed, Eli Lilly Chairman Sidney Taurel says the challenges he faces today are the toughest he has seen in 35 years. The chair of the country's 12th-largest drug company said they were fighting beyond their "weight class" in trying to rectify the industry's tarnished image.
