India's Jubilant Organosys has acquired the clinical research organization Target Research Associates, the first acquisition of a US CRO by an Indian company, for $33.5 million in cash. Jubilant officials said they wanted to expand their presence in the CRO market in the US. Analysts say that there has been a surge of early-stage trials that are being outsourced to CRO companies.
