Immunicon says it will slash about one-fourth of its staff to reduce expenses as it goes into 2006. The company employed 140 people at the end of 2004. Many of the job cuts will be focused on the company's research and development department. The Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania-based company says it's concerned about future revenue and reflects recent conversations with Johnson & Johnson, which is co-developing tests to detect and manage breast cancer. Immunicon's stock price slipped this morning.
