With unanswered questions regarding the recent resignation of FDA chief Lester Crawford still circulating, the FDA's inspector general said he will investigate Crawford's abrupt departure. Crawford resigned only three months after gaining full approval to head the controversial agency. He has told family members that he had grown weary of the constant controversy. The Wall Street Journal, meanwhile, reported today that Crawford or his wife held stock in regulated companies as late as 2004.
