The FDA has given the green light to the first 3-in-1 antiretroviral pill for use by the American-sponsored program to tackle AIDS in the developing world. The pill is being made by an Indian generic manufacturer and will be put to use by the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. The U.S. now provides drugs to more than half a million patients, more than any other country in the world. This new pill should make is easier for patients to stay in compliance with their drug therapy.
