Evidera Strengthens European Presence With Senior Leader In Health Economics, Outcomes Research And Market Access
(Bethesda, MD; July 17, 2014) — Evidera, a global leader in health economics, outcomes research, market access, data analytics and epidemiology solutions, has announced the addition of Xavier Badia, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D. Badia will serve as senior research leader and senior leader of market development for the growing Evidera team in Europe.
This appointment expands the company's presence in continental Europe, provides additional local expertise to its current client base and creates opportunities for continued growth. In his role, Badia will provide high-level strategic and scientific leadership in health economics, outcomes research and market access ; offer clients in-depth expertise in European market access and evidence generation; and facilitate communication between Evidera and European decision-making bodies.
With extensive experience in clinical research, working in the public sector and as a consultant for numerous major projects, Badia specializes in evaluating and developing innovative pricing agreements, health policy, clinical effectiveness and patient-reported outcomes. He has led projects focused on therapeutic areas including oncology, endocrinology, cardiovascular, osteoporosis, CNS and rare diseases, among others.
Badia has published more than 180 papers in peer-reviewed journals, six books and several book chapters, and also serves on several editorial boards. He is also an active member of ISPOR, the EuroQol Group, CIBERER and the Spanish Rare Disease Registries Research Network.
