EpiCept Seeks Primary Listing Status on OMX Stockholm Exchange

TARRYTOWN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Regulatory News:

EpiCept Corporation (Nasdaq and Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Exchange: EPCT) today announced that it has applied for a primary listing on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Exchange in recognition of the Company’s large Swedish shareholding base and the historical trading volume of the Company’s common stock on the Exchange. Presently, the Company maintains a secondary listing on the Exchange, the status of which is dependent on the Company’s continued listing on a recognized national securities exchange in the United States. A decision on its application is expected within the next several months.

EpiCept President and CEO Jack Talley commented; “We have recognized for some time the importance of the trading activity generated by our OMX Stockholm listing, and the many shareholders who utilize the OMX Stockholm Exchange to trade their EpiCept shares every day. We are seeking this change in status to give us the flexibility to consider more broadly the needs of our diverse shareholders in Sweden as well as the United States.”

If the change in status is approved, the continued listing of the Company’s common stock on the Nasdaq Stockholm OMX Exchange will no longer be linked to its continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market or on any other national securities exchange.
