Cipla Medpro's Jerome Smith leaves CEO post
Cipla Medpro CEO Jerome Smith stepped down a few months after the company announced that he had been suspended because of "serious allegations" that it declined to specify at the time. Smith's resignation came just before a scheduled disciplinary hearing, at which he was set to face allegations that he gave himself bonuses and pay increases that weren't authorized by the board, and that he put 45 people on the payroll who weren't actually employees.
