Waltham, MA (PRWEB) September 30, 2010
Akaza Research, LLC, the creators of the open source electronic data capture software, OpenClinica, announced today it that in the first half of 2010 the company attracted 15 new OpenClinica Enterprise Edition customers. These customers comprise contract research organizations, pharmaceutical, device, and biotech companies, and academic research organizations.

"We are seeing an acceleration of interest and adoption of OpenClinica Enterprise," said Ben Baumann, Director of Business Development. "The OpenClinica Enterprise Edition is particularly appealing to research organizations that require reliable, professional support, a cost-effective product pricing structure and ability to take control and ownership of the full spectrum of trial development and deployment" he added. Mr. Baumann commented that "this geographic diversity of our customer base underscores our ability to deliver effective support worldwide. In addition, the diversity of customer types, encompassing small to large organizations across a spectrum of industries, highlights the widespread applicability of the OpenClinica technology and our commercial open source approach."
