Wyeth to shutter NY manufacturing facility

As part of an ongoing restructuring of operations, Wyeth plans to wind down production at its Rouses Point, NY, facility and shutter it in 2008. Wyeth officials said that the decision to close the plant, beginning layoffs next year, was driven by a rapid fall in the sale of Premarin, a female hormone replacement therapy made in Rouses Point.
