Seattle-based VLST has forged a partnership deal with Novo Nordisk for new drugs targeting autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. VLST gets $12 million in upfront fees and equity, reports Xconomy, with unspecified milestones. Novo also agreed to pay the salaries of 12 of VLST's 40 staffers, giving the developer enough money to operate on through 2010. Report
