SPOTLIGHT: Injunction issued against generic Plavix
Sanofi-Aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb have won a round in their desperate fight to retain control of the blood thinner Plavix. A federal judge in New York issued a preliminary injunction against further sales of a copycat version of Plavix but refused their request for a recall of the generic supplies already shipped out. The judge will weigh arguments that Apotex improperly released a generic form of Plavix. Report
