Yhere is a theoretical but totally plausible difference between vox-2 selective medications that are SULFONES ( Vioxx and Arcoxia) and SULFONAMIDES ( like celebrex and the old BEXTRA). The receptor sites for the cox-2 sulfones are on the surface of the tissues they impact (thereby exposing the tissues to oxidative strss) and the sulfonamises receptor sites are between the bi-lpid layers of the tissues they impact (thereby negating oxidative stress).
