Researchers for Sanofi-Pasteur say they have developed a new prototype of a flu vaccine that could be effective in preventing a potential bird flu pandemic. The company says that by adding a new ingredient called alum to the vaccine they're able to make supplies more potent, allowing health officials to use stockpiles for a larger group of people.
