Roche in talks with China to increase Tamiflu production

Roche has initiated discussions with Chinese authorities to jointly produce new supplies of Tamiflu that could be used to help combat an outbreak of human-to-human avian flu. Roche has come under intense pressure to broaden supplies of Tamiflu, an antiviral drug that can blunt the onset of H5N1. Authorities are worried that the disease will mutate into an infectious disease that can spread among humans.
