GPC Biotech has released Phase III data on its prostate cancer therapy Satraplatin demonstrating that it significantly reduced the threat of disease progression. After six months 30 percent of the volunteers taking satraplatin in combination with prednisone had not progressed compared to 17 percent of the patients in the control group taking prednisone with a placebo. After a year 16 percent of Satraplatin patients hadn't progressed compared to seven percent of the control group. The data was released at a symposium in Orlando.
