ImmunoGen sweetens deal with Genentech

ImmunoGen has sweetened its six-year-old collaboration with Genentech to the tune of $6.5 million in new milestones. In the revised pact, Genentech gets to use ImmunoGen's Tumor-Activated Prodrug with antibodies and the Her2 protein. The TAP compound targets diseased cells. The two companies will also collaborate on a new manufacturing process for trastuzumab-DMI. ImmunoGen shares jumped about 5 percent on the news.
