HGS signs $425M deal for BioMed Realty campus

Rockville, MD-based Human Genome Sciences has inked a $425 million sale/leaseback deal with BioMed Realty on its lab, manufacturing and headquarters facilities. The deal covers 925,000 square feet of developed space and 500,000 square feet of land on the HGS campus. HGS signed a 20-year lease with an option to renew. HGS gains about $360 million in new operating capital.
