FDA approves Pfizer's Sutent for cancer

The FDA has approved Pfizer's cancer drug Sutent for advanced kidney cancer and a rare stomach cancer, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. Pfizer says it expects to make the drug available February 3, with a six-week regimen of the therapy costing $4,000 and an annual supply priced at $38,000.
