Getting trial participants to adhere to medication schedules can be a vexing issue for investigators, and, looking to address the problem, WCCT Global has partnered with Verified Clinical Trials to improve the latter's registry, which the company says is the nation's largest.
The two collaborated to create a module that reminds participants to take their treatments and allows investigators to document study-participant adherence to medication schedules.
"Patient adherence to clinical research protocol procedures is critical along with returning to the investigational site for study procedures and safety assessments," WCCT Senior Vice President Mel Affrime said in a statement. "This added enhancement now offered by VCT adds another level of security in the validity of the data that we capture for our clients."
WCCT has long subscribed to VCT's database, so partnering with the CRO to better the service was a natural choice, VCT CEO Mitchell Efros said.
