Shares of Millennium Pharmaceuticals shot up this morning after the company announced that a late-stage trial of Velcade [1]Â proved effective against multiple myeloma. Researchers stopped the trial so that all the participants could receive the drug, which is also being developed for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Release [2]
