The Wall Street Journal reports that Pfizer's new CEO, Jeffrey Kindler (photo [1]), is preparing to announce new job cuts on Monday, as he steps up the company's restructuring efforts. As part of the new approach, Kindler is evidently looking at containing R&D expenses while making cuts in marketing and administration. At the same time, company insiders tell the JoIurnal that Kindler is considering reorganizing scientists into disease groups, in order to hold the company's scientists accountable for their results.
