Emergent BioSolutions files $86M IPO

Gaithersburg, MD-based Emergent BioSolutions has filed an $86 million IPO with the SEC. Emergent didn't say how shares would be offered or the price range of the shares. The company ,which manufactures immunobiotics, operates both a biodefense and commercial business and its lead product candidate is BioThrax, an anthrax vaccine.

ALSO: Lexington, MA-based ActivBiotics plans to pursue an IPO worth up to $46 million. The company's lead drug Rifalazil is in Phase III testing for the symptoms of peripheral arterial disease. It's also in Phase II trials for arterosclerosis. Report [2]
