Oxford BioMedica shares were boosted by the news that its first mid-stage trial of TroVax [1] produced encouraging results for prostate cancer. Disease stabilization in patients currently ranges from two to 10 months. And anti-tumor immune response correlated with the clinical benefit, researchers say. TroVax is Oxford BioMedica's lead cancer immunotherapy product, which is being developed in collaboration with Sanofi-Aventis. The Phase II data were presented by the clinical investigators from the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
