Pima County, Arizona has scored a big win on the economic development front with the newly begun construction of a new, $60 million research facility for Sanofi-Aventis [1]. The R&D center sits in a 300-acre park that is being developed as a biotech hub. Construction on the 110,350-square-feet facility should be completed next summer.
"The Oro Valley center plays an important role in Sanofi-Aventis' future research oals," says Jean-Marc Herbert, senior vice president of Discovery Research for the company.
