PRC Clinical Announces Key Management Appointments And Launches East Coast Operations

San Bruno, CA. March 25, 2015. PRC Clinical, a Silicon-Valley based contract research organization (CRO), announced today several management and executive appointments effective immediately. ­

Mike Catelani will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Board of Directors. Daniel Head is appointed to Vice President of Business Operations, and Sue Dowden will assume the position of Senior Director of Clinical Operations. Tony Taricco, co-founder and current Chief Operations Officer (COO), has been appointed to the position of President and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In addition to these key management additions, PRC Clinical has established an East Coast Business Development office that will be led by newly appointed Vice President of Business Operations, Daniel Head. Mike Catelani brings over 25 years of finance and accounting experience, a significant portion of that in the healthcare industry, and will be responsible for the overall financial management and strategy for PRC Clinical. He was previously the founder, president, and CFO at Tacere Therapeutics, and led the successful sale of the company and its novel lead hepatitis C compound to Benitec Biopharma.

Daniel Head, as a former founder and CEO of an industry-leading logistics and project management firm, brings over 20 years of experience in growing profitable businesses based on business strategy and strategic alliances. Dan will be responsible for strategic alliances and will be facilitating interdepartmental communications and collaboration between the sales and marketing divisions at PRC Clinical. Additionally, Daniel will oversee the expansion of PRC Clinical on the East Coast.

Sue Dowden has over 25 years of clinical research experience and has held positions of increasing responsibility with both sponsors and CROs, including all aspects of clinical research, data monitoring, and project management. Prior to joining PRC Clinical, Sue was the Director of Project Management for a mid-sized global CRO. Sue will be responsible for executive oversight of clinical operations, including project and resource management.
