AstraZeneca PLC Research Report

On September 11, 2013, AstraZeneca PLC (AstraZeneca) announced that it has entered into a worldwide licensing agreement with Merck Co. Inc. (Merck) for the latter's oral small molecule inhibitor of WEE1 kinase (MK-1775). GlaxoSmithKline plc Research Report  

On September 9, 2013, GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its nutritional drink brands, Lucozade and Ribena, to Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd. (SBF) against a consideration of c.£1.4 billion in cash. The Company informed that under the terms of the agreement, SBF will acquire global rights to the brands and GSK's Coleford manufacturing site, located in the Forest of Dean in the UK, however, in Nigeria, GSK will continue to manufacture and distribute Lucozade and Ribena under licence from SBF.
