Position Description

Come join our dynamic group in Santa Clara! We have an immediate opening for a Reagent Chemist. The Reagent Chemist position is a collaborative position interfaces extensively with the Process Improvement/Product Development, QC, Inventory and Packaging Groups.

Primary Functions:
- Manufacture the products that go into our kits, including all production reagents, which form the kit components, from the raw materials through to bottled and labeled finished goods.
- Master all plate coating equipment, processes and testing.
- Formulate of complex reagents and the associated testing to determine compliance to specifications.

Requirements for Consideration:
- Must be technically competent in the production, testing and trouble shooting activities, which will support a medical diagnostic kit.
- Direct experience in reagent manufacturing especially in the techniques associated with micro-titer based (ELISA) products is a must.
- Familiarity with a wide range of production equipment and strong math skills are a major prerequisite of the position.
- Must also possess mechanical aptitude, as it relates to overall responsibility for complex processing equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational abilities, flexibility, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills are also required.

Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in the Sciences
- 2-5 years industrial experience in medical diagnostics in production, technical services or development preferred.
- Must be familiar with current GMP and ISO regulations and comfortable working in a highly structured, documented environment.
