JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Will coordinate the analysis and reporting of clinical trial data, working with the contract research organization (CRO) staff, Project Managers, Clinical Research Associates, Medical Monitors, Drug Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and external consultants. Serve as the primary contact for data, programming, and statistical issues with the CRO.
* Will assist the CRO in the development of the statistical analysis plan (SAP), programming specifications, and programming validation and quality control plans.
* Will assist the CRO in the development of the data management plan, including database design, database validation, and edit specifications.
* Will conduct ad-hoc statistical analyses, assess data accuracy and consistency, and review CRO tables, figures, and listings.
* Will independently create and review a wide variety of analyses.
* Will work on complex problems of diverse scope with minimal supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:
* 3-6 years experience in Biostatistics or applications programming within clinical research in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry with a Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years related experience with a Master’s degree.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, computer programming, math, or a related field.
* Must have solid understanding of efficient SAS programming techniques.
* Familiarity with clinical database design and efficient data management techniques.
* Experience in and strong understanding of clinical trial design.
* Strong team player. Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary project team environment, including interactions with external vendors and CROs.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Leadership skills as well as demonstrated clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to skillfully manage competing priorities and projects and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Dedication to quality and reliability in all work tasks.
