Position Description
My medical communications agency client is seeking a senior-level Oncology Specialist for a pivotal role in the company. This person will act as an Internal Consultant and a have a deep and broad understanding of the oncology landscape, oncology drugs, medical marketing strategy, and the medical communications business as well as existing relationships within the oncology arena. This is a newly created role within the company that will focus exclusively on oncology projects and the development and maintenance of oncology KOL and client relationships. The VP Oncology Specialist will work closely with new and existing oncology clients. This is a highly visible position within the business with a strong strategic focus. An MD, Ph D or PharmD is required for this position, with a preference for a medical oncologist who has industry experience. Travel will be about 25% domestically. Required is • Expertise in both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies; prefer expertise in lung, breast, colorectal, ovarian, multiple myeloma, NHL, and CLL. • Significant insight and understanding around targeted therapies (TKIs, MoAbs, etc) and molecular diagnostics in cancer • Strong presentation and moderation skills and a significant background working with KOLs and clients. • Working knowledge of MLR review processes and industry guidelines. • Meticulously detail-oriented . No relocation.
