Currently, we are seeking to fill the role of Sr. Scientist, Biomarkers in Greenfield, Indiana. This position is responsible for providing direction and supervision of CCLS specified biomarker services. The incumbent provides biomarker assay design and validation consultation across Covance divisions and to our clients. The incumbent plays a key role in the development of new ventures in the area of biomarkers for Covance.

Responsibilities also include:
• Seeking strategic across-division opportunities for biomarker service development from antigen selection, antibody production, assay development, assay validation, and assay delivery.
• Serving as the Principal Analytical Investigator for biomarker services with protocol, laboratory, reporting, and scientific responsibility.
• Acting as a scientific resource for new projects and test validations; providing expert advice on feasibility.


Qualifications:
• PhD in physical or biological science focusing on Immunology
• Expertise in biomarker assay development utilizing mass spec, genomic, immuno-based, biochemical-based & cellular-based biomarkers or other technical platforms
• 2-3 years of post-doctoral experience in biomarker assay development with clinical laboratory exposure
• Highly skilled in conducting research, data interpretation and writing reports
• Knowledge of laboratory automation software, system software, and Microsoft applications
• Highly skilled in performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific publications
