Position Description

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Program Manager (MPM) plans, designs and executes all marketing activities for the GC, GCMS, LC/MS and ICPMS product groups for India in the Chemical Analysis Solution Unit (CASU).

In this position you effectively design local India marketing activities, deploy / adapt the regional EMEA (= Europe-Middle East-Eastern Europe-Africa) marketing programs and execute the global CASU marketing strategy. Moreover you develop the business case to select the appropriate program tactics for India and report the success of your programs to the India, EMEA & global organization. Together with the Marketing Campaign team & the EMEA CASU MPM you govern all outbound aspects of new product launches in India and manage the CASU portfolio-mix though the entire product life-cycle including up- and cross-sell opportunities with other businesses.
On the business development side you own the overall market sensing for the assigned CASU market segments within India. The MPM also develops and shares business intelligence & insight to drive sales channel behavior in close collaboration with the India & EMEA Business Managers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Measures and evaluates impacts of owned marketing programs. Implements corrective actions to ensure delivery of targeted results & objectives.
• Works closely with the India Campaign Coordinator, EMEA CASU MPM and other members of the EMEA Marketing Center (based in Germany) to execute programs and track assigned spend.
• Works closely with the EMEA Demand Generation team to develop program metrics & effective tactics mix. Collaborate for all CRM related aspects of sales & marketing integration.
• Responsible for defining channel training requirements in India linked to program execution.
• Works with the India CASU Sales channels to monitor & analyze competitive information and customer data to facilitate effective program development.
• Serves as single point of contact for the India sales channels for requests and reciprocally provides the India perspective to EMEA marketing / business.
• Coordinates with EMEA MPM for ongoing product management over promotion and placement changes.
• Responsible to manage all pricing topics for the India CASU market together with EMEA MPM and India Business Manager. Maintains the India section for database to track competitive product pricing.
• The India CASU MPM reports to the Marketing Director EMEA.

COMPETENCIES x%x
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• University education in Chemistry, biochemistry or comparable.
• Intimate knowledge of Chemcial /Environmental/ Petrochemical/ Food-Testing/ Enviromental-Testing Markets & Sales Channels in India.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience in an India field sales and/or field marketing environment.
• Demonstrated skills in teamwork, results-orientation and strong persistence to reach goals.
• Ability to work across a global organization with some international business experience.
• Excellent English communication skills (written / oral). Ability to collaborate equally effective throughout all hierarchical levels
• Willingness for travel for ~ 50% of the time.
• Ability to deal with high pressure, visibility and workload; Willingness to prioritize tasks and take quick decisions.
