Lab Manager Microbiology

My client is a national analytical lab that is looking for a microbiologist/mycologist to manage a laboratory in California. BS or MS candidates considered. The candidate must be a leader, team player and good communicator. The scientists will be responsible for analysis, lab maintenance, reporting and leadership. Applicants will be expected to have a command and experience with classical and advanced microbiology laboratory.


Must Have:

• BS or MS in Micro or Biochem or related
• 4-10+ years Microbiology industrial analysis settings, ID and/or QC
• 2+ years in Mycology
• 2 years as a lab manager
• Expereince with Spore traps (Air-o-Cells, Micro5, Cyclex D, etc.), tape lifts
• Experience with Fugal and bacterial identification by classical and molecular methods
• Experience with Word and Excel
Preferences:

• Experience in real-time PCR, DNA Sequencing and
• Immunological methods for microbial ID
• Management or group leader experience
• Working knowledge of Regulatory standards, GLP, and ISO 17025-2005 standards
• Significant Documentation and reporting responsibilities
