As the Product Support Specialist for Velocity11-Agilent Automation Solutions you will be providing second / third tier support and enable technical support and field service staff. In this role you will help create Raving Velocity11 Fans (RVFs!).
Job responsibilities
• Handle escalations from the technical support team and field service engineers for customer issues that require further troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair
• Represent the service team in various meetings such as change control board, escalation meetings, product team meetings
• Develop, maintain and distribute service procedures and documents used for instrument maintenance and repairs
• Train field service engineers and technical support staff on use, repair and maintenance of Velocity11 instruments.
• Demonstrate understanding of theory and application of Velocity11 instruments.
• Help create Raving Velocity 11 Fans (RVFs) by ensuring customer’s equipment is repaired and serviced in an efficient manner.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or experience or education demonstrating an interest in engineering
• 5-8 years Experience in semiconductor/lab automation industry
• Knowledge of automation components such as servo controls, stepper motors, pneumatic actuators, displays, sensors, and control software using Windows Operating systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software problems via phone or desktop sharing.
• Ability to excel as an individual contributor and as part of a team
• Excellent English communication skills—oral and written
• Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• Thorough knowledge of common office software (MS Office/Acrobat/Windows)
• Passion for customer satisfaction
• Ability to travel 10-15% with overnight stays.
