Position Description
Lab Support, a Division of On Assignment and the Industry Leader in Scientific Staffing, has immediate openings for in vivo Pharmacology Research Associate- Entry and Sr. Level positions. We are seeking candidates of different levels to join our team. The in vivo Pharmacology department is looking for a Research Associate to contribute to preclinical research programs aimed at the development of treatments for serious diseases and conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling rodents;
Drug dilution and preparation;
Drug administration to rodents by various routes;
Setting up and running various in vivo assays;
Running ELISA assays;
Behavioral testing and study monitoring
Inputting, analyzing, and graphing data;
Education: BS, MS, or PhD in a biological discipline (neuroscience, pharmacology). Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
Experience:
Experience conducting basic in vivo procedures, such as drug preparation and administration, blood collection, animal handling and care is preferred, but training will be provided Preference will be given to candidates who have some experience or working knowledge of the Central Nervous System or inflammatory diseases.
Specific Skills: Good animal handling skills are essential and expertise within the behavioral pharmacology domain a plus. High levels of motivation and strong communication and computing
